Some website projects are brand new introductions. Others feel more like checking back in with an old friend. Our relationship with Lou’s Electric falls into the second category.
Based in Surf City, NJ, Lou’s Electric has been serving Long Beach Island and the surrounding Ocean County area for years with residential and commercial electrical services. For D-Fi Productions, this project carried a little extra meaning because Lou was one of our first customers back in 2007. Nearly two decades later, we had the opportunity to revisit the website, modernize the design, and give the business a stronger online presence for today’s customers.
The goal was not to reinvent Lou’s Electric. The goal was to build a website that better reflected the company that already existed.
Lou’s Electric has a long history of quality work throughout LBI. From new homes and renovations to commercial projects and service work, the company needed a website that could show that experience quickly and clearly. The new design puts that work front and center with a dynamic homepage slideshow, giving visitors an immediate look at the range of projects Lou’s Electric handles.
We also built out a larger portfolio section so potential customers can browse completed work and get a better sense of the company’s craftsmanship. For a service business, especially one working in homes, businesses, and high value coastal properties, trust matters. A strong portfolio helps create that trust before someone ever picks up the phone.
This project is also a good example of why older websites should not be left behind. A business can have a great reputation, loyal customers, and years of experience, but if the website looks dated or does not work well on modern devices, it can send the wrong message. The updated Lou’s Electric website brings the company’s online presence up to modern standards while keeping the focus on the qualities that made the business successful in the first place.
For us, this was more than another LBI web design project. It was a reminder of how valuable long term client relationships can be. We were there when Lou’s Electric needed an early website presence, and we were proud to be there again when it was time for the next version.

Some websites need to sell a product. Others need to tell a story. For the Long Branch Sewerage Authority, the priority was different. This website needed to make important public information easy to find, easy to update, and easy for residents to use.
Our Long Branch web design project for LBSA focused on creating a professional online presence that serves the community first. The homepage features an engaging video that gives the site a more modern and active feel, while the overall structure keeps important information front and center. Visitors can quickly access meeting minutes, public notices, records, documents, and other legally required information without having to dig through a confusing layout.
For a public agency, a website has to do more than look good. It has to be organized, dependable, and built with transparency in mind. We designed the LBSA website to support those goals while still giving the Authority a clean, current, and credible online image.
This project is a strong example of how thoughtful web design can help local organizations better communicate with the people they serve. From the visual presentation to the document organization, every part of the site was built to make information more accessible for Long Branch residents.
