An LBI Website Refresh for Lou’s Electric

LBI web design example on a monitorSome website projects are brand new introductions. Others feel more like checking back in with an old friend. Our relationship with Lou’s Electric falls into the second category.

Based in Surf City, NJ, Lou’s Electric has been serving Long Beach Island and the surrounding Ocean County area for years with residential and commercial electrical services. For D-Fi Productions, this project carried a little extra meaning because Lou was one of our first customers back in 2007. Nearly two decades later, we had the opportunity to revisit the website, modernize the design, and give the business a stronger online presence for today’s customers.

The goal was not to reinvent Lou’s Electric. The goal was to build a website that better reflected the company that already existed.

Lou’s Electric has a long history of quality work throughout LBI. From new homes and renovations to commercial projects and service work, the company needed a website that could show that experience quickly and clearly. The new design puts that work front and center with a dynamic homepage slideshow, giving visitors an immediate look at the range of projects Lou’s Electric handles.

We also built out a larger portfolio section so potential customers can browse completed work and get a better sense of the company’s craftsmanship. For a service business, especially one working in homes, businesses, and high value coastal properties, trust matters. A strong portfolio helps create that trust before someone ever picks up the phone.

This project is also a good example of why older websites should not be left behind. A business can have a great reputation, loyal customers, and years of experience, but if the website looks dated or does not work well on modern devices, it can send the wrong message. The updated Lou’s Electric website brings the company’s online presence up to modern standards while keeping the focus on the qualities that made the business successful in the first place.

For us, this was more than another LBI web design project. It was a reminder of how valuable long term client relationships can be. We were there when Lou’s Electric needed an early website presence, and we were proud to be there again when it was time for the next version.

If you own a business and need an LBI website designer who understands local companies, local customers, and the importance of keeping your online presence current, contact D-Fi Productions today.

LBI Website Design Project Spotlight: Island Realty

A real estate website has to do more than look good. It has to help people take action.

For Island Realty in Long Beach Island, NJ, that meant creating a website that could attract and assist two different audiences at once: buyers searching for homes for sale and vacationers looking for the right LBI rental. Each visitor arrives with a different goal, so the website needed to make both paths simple, clear, and easy to use.

Our work on the Island Realty website focused on building a complete online platform for one of LBI’s established real estate firms. The site incorporates IDX Broker, giving users the ability to search active homes for sale across Long Beach Island. Whether someone is casually browsing the market or ready to connect with an agent, the sales side of the website gives them a smooth way to explore available properties.

The rental side of the website was just as important. Long Beach Island is one of New Jersey’s most popular vacation destinations, and renters need a fast, organized way to find properties that match their needs. By integrating the website with Island Realty’s rental system, we helped create a user experience that allows visitors to search vacation rentals without unnecessary confusion or extra steps.

This project is a great example of what effective Long Beach Island web design should accomplish. A local business website should reflect the area, support the way customers actually search, and make it easier for people to connect with the services they need. For Island Realty, that meant combining real estate sales, vacation rentals, property search tools, and a clean user experience into one cohesive website.

We are proud to have worked with Island Realty on a website that supports both sides of their business while giving buyers, sellers, renters, and property owners a better way to interact with the company online.
