The Web Design Process
Once we are contracted to build your website, the creative process begins. We start by building a mock-up, based on creative input from you. Once complete, we will email you a temporary link which you can use to view our initial design. This gives you the ability to preview what your web site will look like in a browser, however, since it’s just a mock-up, none of the links or navigational items will actually work yet. This is your opportunity to tell us what you love about it, or what you hate about it. We make whatever changes are necessary, and let you know when your 2nd revision is ready to review. We can go back and forth as many times as it takes to lock in the design of your dreams.
Once we “hit the nail on the head”, and you approve the design, we move on to the build stage. This is where we take the non-functional mock-up, and integrate everything else that makes it actually work! Depending on the complexity of your site, this phase can range from a few days to a few weeks.
Once the site is complete, we give you a tutorial on how to utilize the content management system (if one is installed on your website) so that you can handle your day-to-day updating without the need to rely on a web developer.
